Terms and licence

1. Using this website

eppdf.com is published by Alien Tech Services LLC, a company registered in Washington State, USA. You may read it, print it and link to it. The text, the Endpaper name and the Endpaper logo belong to Alien Tech Services LLC and may not be reproduced as your own.

The site is provided as it is. We keep it accurate and we correct mistakes when we find them or when you tell us about one, but nothing on it forms a contract until you buy a licence, and the licence you accept at installation is what governs the software.

2. Prices on this site

Endpaper 0.9.0 is in private beta. The prices published here are the prices it is intended to go on sale at. They are not an offer for sale, there is no checkout on this site, and we may change them before release. Competitor prices quoted for comparison are the vendors' own published prices on the date shown beside them and are not under our control.

3. The software licence

Endpaper is licensed, not sold. The full end user licence agreement is installed with the application and is shown before installation. In outline:

  • Free tier. Use it for as long as you like, at no cost, including at work.
  • Pro. One named person, on up to two computers, on either Pro plan.
  • Team. One seat per person. Seats are not shared or pooled.
  • Perpetual. Your licence does not expire, on any paid plan.
  • Updates. Two years from purchase on the standard plans, or for the life of the product on the lifetime-updates plans. When an update term ends the software carries on working; only new versions stop arriving.
  • Not permitted. Reselling, renting, sublicensing, removing notices, or working backwards from the program to rebuild its source.
  • Refunds. Fourteen days from purchase.

The outline above is a summary for convenience. Where it and the installed agreement differ, the installed agreement is the one that counts.

4. What we do not promise

Endpaper checks its own work in several places and tells you what it found. A check is not a guarantee. Nothing on this site or in the software is a statement that a document is safe to disclose, that a signature will be accepted by a particular court or counterparty, or that a file meets a standard. Those are judgements for you and your advisers.

Endpaper is supplied without warranties beyond those that cannot be excluded by law. To the extent the law allows, our liability in connection with the software is limited to what you paid for it.

5. Governing law

These website terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA. The governing law for the software licence is stated in the installed agreement.
